Why Cocoa Butter Helps With Stretch Marks
Stretch marks are just one of the many common skin problems among men and women. This happens when our skin is stretched too far out due to certain factors like pregnancy and sudden weight loss or weight gain. Our skin may be stretchable but it also has its own limits. And when it is stretched above its limit, collagen is lost resulting to fine lines and wrinkles otherwise known as stretch marks.

What’s worse is that some of these cocoa butter creams have been found to be ineffective resulting in negative feedback from consumers. Therefore, it is highly recommended to buy cocoa butter creams from well known and trusted brands and establishments.
In some cases, it has been recorded that cocoa butter is not that effective when it comes to dealing with old stretch marks and that only the new ones can be treated. So experts have advised mothers to apply cocoa butter right away on new or fresh stretch marks. For better results, cocoa butter should be applied daily in order to not just reduce stretch marks but to moisturize skin, thus, giving it a more youthful glow. And for the best results, cocoa butter can be applied several times a day. Since it has a low melting point and melts immediately when applied to the skin, the butter can be easily applied in a circular motion. Just like when using other ointments or creams, best results are better achieved when massaged in circular motion.
